Step 1
Choose any hard cheese you like – I used standard Russian cheese. Feel free to add your favorite spices or seasonings.

Rinse the chicken breast thoroughly, pat dry, and slice into thin slices. Pound the meat gently with a meat mallet, then season with salt and pepper.

Lightly grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and layer the chicken slices at the bottom.

Peel and rinse the onion, then chop it into medium pieces.

Evenly spread the chopped onion over the chicken breast.

Wash and peel the potatoes, slice them into thin rounds, and place in a bowl. Add vegetable oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well. If using firm potato varieties, you can blanch them first, then mix with oil and spices.

Layer the prepared potatoes over the onions.

Wash the tomatoes and zucchini, then cut into half-rings. For best results, use young zucchini with tender skin (peeling optional). If using mature zucchini, peel the rough skin and remove the seeds.

Arrange the zucchini and tomato slices alternately on top of the potatoes. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 40–60 minutes.

Grate the cheese and finely chop the washed herbs. Mix them together. Sprinkle this mixture over the dish 5 minutes before it's done baking.
Step 11
Serve the finished dish hot, plating portions individually. Enjoy your meal!
