Step 1
Sift the flour, preferably several times. This enriches it with oxygen, making the dough more elastic and the baked goods fluffier. Take the butter out of the fridge in advance so it reaches room temperature. My bread maker starts with dry ingredients, so I add the flour to the bowl first. Follow your machine’s instructions.
Step 2
Dissolve salt and sugar in the water.

Add the yeast to the bread maker’s yeast dispenser.
