Advice 1

Advice 2

Root vegetables are best washed with a brush or a rough sponge under running water.

Advice 3

To avoid irritation when cutting onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board won't absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a piece of lemon before cutting.

Advice 4

To check if the oil is hot enough in the pan, you can use a simple method. Dip a wooden spatula into the oil. If bubbles form around it, then it's time to start frying.

Step 1
Take all the necessary ingredients. Choose fresh turkey fillet. Any type of eggplant will do. If using frozen turkey, thaw it gently in advance.
Step 2
Rinse the turkey meat with cold running water and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut the fillet into two large steaks. Salt and pepper the meat on all sides.

Step 3
Place the turkey steaks on a pan with heated oil and fry them on both sides until golden brown over high heat. This will seal the juices inside, making the meat tender and juicy.
Step 4
Wash the eggplant and cut it into slices. Salt the eggplant slices and let them sit for 10 minutes. This will draw out the bitterness, preventing it from affecting the dish. Afterward, blot the eggplants with paper towels to remove excess salt.
Step 5
Fry the eggplant slices on both sides in vegetable oil until golden. Cook on medium heat.

Step 11
Transfer the tomatoes and onion to the baking dish, layering them on top of the eggplants.

Step 12
Place the turkey steaks on top of the vegetables and bake the dish in the preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. To check if the turkey steak is cooked, make a small incision with a sharp knife. If clear juices come out, it’s ready.
Step 13
In the meantime, prepare the flavorful dressing. Mix 50 ml of vegetable oil with chopped parsley, salt, and garlic pressed through a garlic press. Stir to combine.
Step 14
Drizzle the hot dish with the aromatic dressing and serve the turkey steaks with vegetables while hot. Enjoy your meal!
