Step 1
If the fish is frozen, thaw it overnight in a dish in the refrigerator. This gentle method preserves more nutrients. Rinse the thawed tuna carcass, gut it, remove the tail, fins, and head, peel the skin, and separate the meat from the bones.

Soak white bread or a bun in milk and let it sit for 20 minutes to swell. Then squeeze out the milk.

Pass the tuna meat and the soaked bread through a meat grinder, followed by a peeled and coarsely chopped onion.
Step 4
Add a chicken egg, salt and spices to taste, chopped cold butter, and two tablespoons of flour to the same bowl. Mix everything thoroughly until you get a homogeneous mass.
Step 5
With hands moistened in cold water, form small patties, coat them in flour, and fry in hot vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides.

Pour a little water into the skillet with the patties and simmer over low heat under a lid until the moisture evaporates completely. Then remove the lid, flip the patties, let the crust dry slightly, and turn off the heat.
Step 7
Serve the patties with mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, or buckwheat. A great addition is a sauce made from mayonnaise and pickles with lemon juice and spices.
