Preparation

Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Finely chop the onion and marinate it in lemon juice.

Grate the smoked cheese using a coarse grater. Press garlic into it, add butter mixed with mayonnaise, and mix everything thoroughly.

On a piece of plastic wrap, form a small “sausage” shape from the cheese mixture, wrap it up, and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Lay out a new sheet of plastic wrap and spread grated beets (coarse grater) in an even layer.

Add a layer of grated boiled potatoes on top of the beets, then add the marinated onions.

Add finely diced pickles (peeled) and a bit more onion on top.

Place the chilled cheese “sausage” in the center of the layered salad.

Carefully roll everything into a log shape using the plastic wrap, so the cheese “sausage” stays in the center. Place the salad in the fridge for about 2 hours to set.
