Quick, budget-friendly, and so tasty you'll want another slice! Quick Skillet Pizza is a full-on dish that tastes just as good as oven-baked pizza. The crust can be soft or crispy, thick or thin – however you prefer.

Step 1
First, prepare all necessary ingredients. Use high-quality flour. Any vegetable oil will work. Sour cream should be 15–20% fat. Eggs and sour cream must be at room temperature, so take them out of the fridge ahead of time.

In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with salt using a mixer until fluffy.

Add room-temperature sour cream and beat again.

Add sifted flour mixed with baking powder and beat until the batter is smooth.

Depending on the sour cream’s moisture and egg size, you might need more or less flour. The batter should be thick but pourable.

Now prepare the toppings. You can substitute sausages with frankfurters, ham, or salami. Any type of tomato will work; cherry tomatoes are ideal. If using regular tomatoes, slice them into rounds. Choose firm, juicy tomatoes – soft ones lose shape during cooking and affect presentation.

Peel sausages and slice into rounds.

Grate the cheese (medium or large holes). Any cheese will work: hard, semi-soft, or soft (like mozzarella). It should be tasty, good-quality, without fake milk fats, and melt well.

In a skillet, heat some vegetable oil. Fry the sausage slices until golden brown, stirring occasionally.

Grease the bottom and sides of a 9.5–10 inch (24–26 cm) skillet with oil. If you have leftover fat from frying, use that. Pour the batter in and spread it evenly. Gently spread ketchup over the batter, leaving a ½ inch (1 cm) border. Sprinkle with Italian herbs.

Evenly distribute the fried sausages over the surface.

Sprinkle grated cheese over the sausages, then add cherry tomatoes on top.

Cover the skillet with a lid, cook over low heat for 10–15 minutes or until the batter is cooked through and the cheese has melted. Cooking time may vary depending on your stove and pan.

Transfer the finished Quick Pizza to a serving plate and garnish with fresh basil. Enjoy!
