Step 1
Start by preparing the ingredients. You can use any type of meat for the cutlets. I used pork and ground it myself, but store-bought ground pork works too. You can substitute pork with chicken, beef, or any other meat of your choice.
Step 2
Wash and pat dry the pork. Cut it into medium-sized pieces. If the meat has a lot of fat, trim the excess. If using frozen meat, thaw it properly in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf.

Step 3
Peel and roughly chop the onion.
Step 4
Soak white bread in milk for 1 minute, then squeeze out the excess liquid. I didn’t squeeze mine to keep the cutlets juicier. Can you use the crust? It’s up to you—you can remove it, but since the bread gets soaked and ground, the crust won’t be noticeable.
Step 5
Pass the meat, bread, and onion through a meat grinder.

Step 6
Add an egg to the ground mixture, season with salt and pepper, and mix well until combined. You can add additional spices to taste.
Step 7
The mixture should be moist but not runny.
Step 8
With wet hands, shape small cutlets of equal size. I made eight cutlets.

Step 9
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the cutlets in the pan and cook over low heat, covered, for 10-15 minutes on each side until golden brown. Cooking time depends on the heat level and cutlet thickness.
Step 10
Transfer the pork cutlets to a plate and serve immediately. Enjoy your meal!
