Mango Milkshake

Mango is one of the most popular fruits in the world, thanks to its juicy, sweet taste. In milkshakes, it adds a bright, refreshing sweetness and a rich tropical aroma.

Milkshakes originated in the USA in the late 19th century, but the addition of exotic fruits like mango became popular later as global cuisine expanded and interest in tropical ingredients grew. In India, a popular drink is mango lassi—a yogurt-based mango drink. Mango milkshake can be considered a Western adaptation of this traditional beverage. Mango milkshakes are not only delicious but also nutritious. Mango is rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and antioxidants, making this drink beneficial for immunity and skin health. Mango milkshakes are especially popular in summer when mangoes are in season, providing a refreshing and satisfying way to beat the heat.

Step 1
First, prepare all the ingredients. A ripe mango should feel slightly soft when gently pressed, and the flesh should be firm. Overripe mangoes may be too mushy, while unripe ones will be too firm. There should be no mold or rot on the skin. Mango should have a sweet, pleasant aroma. You can use any ice cream of your choice—I use vanilla.
Step 2
Wash and peel the mango. Place the mango flesh in a blender and blend until smooth. This took me about one minute.

Step 3
Add the ice cream to the blender.
Step 4
Then, add coconut milk and a pinch of cinnamon (you can add more if you like a spicier touch). You can substitute coconut milk with regular milk or any plant-based alternative of your choice.
Step 5
Blend until smooth. Pour the mango milkshake into a glass and enjoy its amazing, refreshing taste!
