Advice

Baked corn becomes even more delicious with various seasonings and spices. Here are a few ideas to enhance its flavor: Paprika: Adds a mild sweetness and a smoky touch. You can use sweet or smoked paprika. Garlic powder: Brings out a rich garlic aroma. Lime or lemon juice: A few drops add freshness and a slight tang. Chili powder or cayenne pepper: A pinch of chili will give it a spicy kick. Parmesan: Sprinkle grated cheese on top while the corn is hot for extra depth of flavor. Thyme or oregano: These herbs add a Mediterranean touch. Cumin: Ground cumin gives the corn a warm and aromatic spice. Honey or maple syrup: For those who like sweet-savory combinations, drizzle a bit of honey or maple syrup. Feta or goat cheese: Crumbled cheese adds a creamy texture and slight saltiness. Try different combinations to find your perfect match!

Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Use fresh corn on the cob. Choose any herbs and spices you like—I used Italian seasoning. You can use any vegetable oil or butter.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Remove the husks and silk from the corn cobs. Trim both ends, rinse, and pat dry.

Step 3
Tear large squares of aluminum foil. I used a double layer since my foil was thin. Place a cleaned corn cob in the center. Sprinkle with salt. Drizzle with vegetable oil (or place small pieces of butter on top). Add dried herbs.
Step 4
Wrap the corn completely in foil, ensuring there are no openings.
Step 5
Repeat these steps for each corn cob. Place the foil-wrapped corn in a baking dish.

Step 6
How long to bake corn in the oven? Bake for 35-45 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven and the size of the corn. How to know when it's done? The corn should be tender and easy to pierce with a fork. Unwrap the hot corn. If desired, rub it with pressed garlic and drizzle with lemon juice.
Step 7
Serve the baked corn immediately. Enjoy your meal!
