Step 1
Use chicken breast fillets. Choose cheese to your liking, as long as it grates well and melts easily.
Step 2
For the filling, grate the cheese using a coarse grater. Add salt, ground pepper, and paprika. Press the garlic and mix everything. Be mindful of the saltiness of the cheese.

Step 3
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and slice into rounds.
Step 4
Slice the chicken breast horizontally, but not all the way through. Open it like a book and lightly pound it using the side of your palm or a meat mallet. Don’t overdo it – the meat is delicate.
Step 5
Place the cheese mixture and tomato slices on one side of the opened fillet. Season with extra salt and spices if desired.

Step 6
Fold the fillet over to cover the filling and secure the edges with toothpicks.
Step 7
Coat the fillet in cornstarch, then shake off the excess. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and cook the fillet for 3 minutes on each side. Then cover with a lid or foil and cook for another 2–3 minutes per side.
Step 8
The fillets will shrink slightly and turn golden brown. Serve hot with your choice of side – mashed potatoes work perfectly. Enjoy!
